Step 1 - Plug in the sensor plug

Remove the sensor plug from its packaging 🔌 and plug it into a socket that you are not planning to use much during the trial and is close (1-5m) to your WiFi router.

Note: Do not use an extension cable!

Step 2 - Connect your phone to the plug’s WiFi

On your phone, open the WiFi settings and connect to the sensor plug’s temporary hotspot. 🤳

Note: It will begin with “ampxsmartplugs”.

Step 3 - Sign in to “Amp X Local Energy Trial” with your home WiFi and password

Once you connect to the plug’s hotspot, your phone will prompt you to sign in on a page titled “Amp X Local Energy Trial”. Sign in by selecting your home WiFi from the list (or enter the network name manually) and input the WiFi password 🔐 then click the “Save” button.

Note: If the page does not open automatically you should open the browser (e.g. Google Chrome) on your phone and type the following address: http://192.168.4.1

Step 4 - Wait for a success message

Wait while the sensor plug connects to your home WiFi until you see the message “Successful WiFi Connection” on your screen. Once this happens it means the installation is complete! 🥳

Step 5 - Connect back to your home WiFi

Close the window and go back to your phone’s WiFi settings to reconnect to your home WiFi network. And that’s it! All you have to do now is leave the sensor plug plugged in for the duration of the trial to start earning your GiftPay vouchers 🤑 it’s that simple!
